Sogang University, a private institution in Seoul, South Korea, was established in 1960 and is affiliated with the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). The university offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs across various fields, including Business, Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Arts. Its main campus, located in the Sinchon area.

Sogang University is known for its strong emphasis on liberal arts education, rigorous academic standards, and commitment to fostering critical thinking and ethical leadership. It consistently ranks among the top universities in South Korea and is recognized for its research output and academic excellence in Korean language study. The university supports a wide range of research initiatives and maintains various research centers and high institutes that contribute to advancements in science, technology, and business.

Sogang University application was all online, so it was an easy procedure to submit documents. I will say that I did my application about a month later than those that are attending the different Korean universities, so do not be alarmed of the wait. Sogang's abroad team will send you a log-in credentials for your application {email was sent on May 17th at 3:44PM} which includes a temporary username (ID) and password, they will also provide the application link to you. The application experience was not stressful as Sogang has one of the least amounts of required documents needed & you do 4-steps that includes:

1. Personal Information:

    -- Legal Name, Date of Birth, ID picture, Upload Required Documents

2. Housing:

   -- Application for the international student dorm (Gonzaga Hall). Acceptance to the dorm will be emailed around July 15th with additional information regarding payment will be sent late July. 

3. Language Programs:

   -- As an exchange student at Sogang you have the option to be enrolled at a language program

{note: the language program is a bit more expensive than the regular courses}

4. Scholarship:

   -- Application for the Sogang Global Scholarship. Personally, I did not apply because I am a FAFSA student and I already had scholarships under my belt, so I did not want to risk losing aid to pay for tuition

Just be sure to submit your application by May 30th (KST)! and you are able to edit information until May 31st at 11:59 PM (KST) if you had made any mistakes on the app.
